Microsoft Dynamics AX Functional Sr. Analyst - Information Technology - Bridgewater, NJ


Position Overview

The Microsoft Dynamics AX Functional Sr. Analyst is responsible for the solution configuration, customizations, security, support, integrity and management of Microsoft AX Dynamics in support of Corporate Finance. As a strong business partner to the Finance team and other Corporate functions, the Microsoft Dynamics AX Functional Sr. Analyst understands business challenges and opportunities and works to lead the configuration and maintenance of value added solutions to meet the set business requirements.  Additionally, this position is responsible for troubleshooting and problem resolution, management and monitoring of system resources and performance, and support and maintenance of non-production environments related to Dynamics AX.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes Finance business process issues and improvements and provides solution recommendations to Finance and IT Management
  • Investigates problems with AX Finance modules, diagnose root causes, and resolve issues.
  • Documents and assist users in defining Business Requirements, process maps, and use cases.
  • Investigate Feature Requests, clarify objectives, understand software functionality and recommend solutions using industry best practices.
  • Develops user training materials and delivers end user training.
  • Provides expert advice to Finance in best use of AX Finance modules.
  • Verify data integrity, functional integrity testing, and data maintenance.
  • Fulfills Ad-hoc business reporting needs and assists with interpretation of data.
  • Ensure business applications comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of functional knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or later
    • Finance (General Ledger, A/R, A/P, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, etc.)
    • Project Management and Accounting
    • Inventory Management Financials and Cost Accounting
    • SK Soft e-Banking
  • Knowledge and constructed understanding of Finance and Projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree – preferred degree in an IT related discipline or equivalent working experience in IT
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to learn and retain a multitude of information
  • Finance and accounting background a Plus
  • Experience with management of computer related implementation projects in a regulated environment is a plus
