Production Scheduler - Supply Chain, Warehouse & Logistics - Marietta, GA

Position Overview

The Production Scheduler schedules the production activities in the work centers and coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials between departments according to the schedule.  Additionally is responsible for creating and maintaining batch production orders for manufacturing and packaging.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with the Director of Production Control, Warehouse and Logistics and Senior Manager of Production Operations on the sequence of work and develops the schedule for manufacturing and packaging work centers.
  • Continually updates the schedule based on actual progress and completion.
  • Creates batch production orders and monitors the reporting of activities on production orders in ERP system.
  • Facilitates the requesting of batch records and is involved in completing and reconciling the records as a reviewer.
  • Creates and maintain formulas and routes in the ERP system.
  • Submit / maintain all documentation in accordance with good manufacturing practices and all applicable SOPs.
  • Enters the transaction data in order to track DEA products and compiles information for DEA reporting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Associates Degree (or equivalent).
  • Two – three years of production control or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with production order management in an ERP system is preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience in oral dose facility a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated environment (GMP or FDA; preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work wearing any protective clothing that may be required for the job.
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed to meet business needs.
